Editorial Assessment
An editorial assessment consists of general feedback when it comes to the bigger picture of your manuscript. This service includes on read through, a separate document with notes, thoughts, and ideas, and a 30 minute follow up call for further discussion and clarification.
If you've finished your manuscript and aren't sure what your next steps are, an editorial assessment will help you find a solid start on the direction to take.
Pricing:
.007 cents / word
For a 75,000 word manuscript, an editorial assessment would be $525.
Developmental Editing
Developmental editing consists of a deep dive into everything that makes up your manuscript. The plot, characters, progression, etc. will be evaluated to find out what's missing, what needs more/less, and how everything is working together. This service includes two full reads of your manuscript, in-line comments, and a separate document with a compilation of notes, thoughts, and ideas by chapter and overall. A 30 minute follow-up call is also included for further discussion and clarification.
If you've finished your manuscript and completed at least one full round of edits yourself, you may be ready for a developmental edit.
Pricing:
.02 cents / word
For a 75,000 word manuscript, a developmental edit would be $1,500.
